The Book House depends on your donations of books and other items mentioned above. We are most grateful for them!

However, there are some very important guidelines we ask that you read carefully and follow:

• Please call us first at (585) 765-9041 to inquire if the library has room for donations at this time. This is very important, as our space inside for sorting is extremely limited.
• Please make absolutely certain that your items are clean, free of mold or mildew, free of pet hair and other debris, and in a gently-used condition that others will wish to own.
• The above is important especially because we DO NOT have the time or staff to remove unclean, worn items to a proper place of disposal. This is the job of you, the original owner. Hardcover books that are soiled or mildewed are best disposed of in your regular trash pickup. The recycling bin behind the Lyndonville Post Office is also a great place to drop off paperback-only items that are overly worn or dirty.
• Please come inside and alert us when you’ve arrived with your donation. We will help you bring them inside the library, where we will check and sort them later. PLEASE do not leave bags or boxes of donations inside or in front of the Book House.
