Welcome to your library!

Yates Community Library reflects the interests of our energetic community: its members from age 1 to 101; both those newly settled and from generations long established here.  And your library has the world to offer you!

We are a community resource that you can take part in any way you like.

Consider the possibilities…

– Drop in once a week to browse new books, and fill your tote bag full of great reading and movies.

– Visit daily to spend time on a computer.

– Just relax in our lounge!  Cool off, warm up, use our wi-fi! You might just catch a summer concert outside or a special program inside.

– Or log in at home to stream a movie or music, or amp up your research by going beyond Google to directly access reliable, current sources of information.

Our staff thrives on providing the materials and information you need.
Yates Community Library’s vital membership in the Nioga Library System means that, with your free library card, you have access to virtually all the materials in the 20 public libraries of Niagara, Orleans, and Genesee counties.  In one click from your device or our computer, they’ll be delivered to you here, at no cost, usually within two to three days. We have the capability to request items beyond this area for you to borrow as well.

And you can trust that your library staff is staying current with technology and new concepts in library service, with local support provided by Nioga. As an active member of the Orleans County Human Services Council, we can offer current information to connect you with nearby helpful assistance agencies.
